Kali Linux

Download the "VirtualBox 64 Bit" version from the link below.

Once downloaded, right click on the archive, and click "Extract Here". This will extract a folder containing a .vdi file and a .vbox file.

Open a file explorer and click on "Home" in the left hand panel, then double click on "VirtualBox VMs" to open that folder.

In a separate file explorer, navigate to where the extracted folder is, then drag the folder into the "VirtualBox VMs" folder. Also delete the archive, we don't need it anymore.

Start Virtualbox and click on "Tools".

Click on "Add", not "New".

You should already be in the Virtualbox VMs folder, go into the extracted folder and double click on the .vbox file.

Right click on the Kali VM in the sidebar and click settings.

Rename your VM to "Kali Template".

You can clone your template as many times as desired like in the Ubuntu instructions. I recommend not using the Template, but update or replace it when Kali Linux comes out with a new version.

The default username and password is "kali".

After you shutdown the VM from inside, you will have to close the window manually. Click the "X" on the window, select "Power Off", then click "OK".
