Brave Installation

Brave Browser focuses on privacy and security, blocking trackers and intrusive ads by default. By doing so, Brave minimizes the data collection and tracking that usually occurs while you're browsing.

On windows, go to the Brave Browser website and follow on screen instructions to install.

LibreWolf is another option, but whenever you close LibreWolf all history, cookies, and other site data gets deleted every time. So make sure that fits your use case.

Tor Browser is also another option, but it's very slow. In addition Brave Browser already has an option to open a private window with Tor in case you want to use it. I'll explain Tor in "Advertising/IP Tracking".

On Ubuntu Desktop, the process is less obvious. In the icon bar, click on the suitcase icon with an "A" on it to open up Ubuntu software.

Click the magnifying glass icon at the top left of the page and search for "Brave".

Click on "Brave" in the list, then click on "Install".

Once the red "Trash" icon appears, Brave is installed.

Click the "Windows" key on your keyboard and type "Brave" to open it up.

Right click on Brave to "Add to favorites" so that it'll remain in the icon bar even when closed. Drag it to your desired position.
